Jason Reeves

Jason graduated from Nova Scotia Community College in 1995 and has worked as a Licensed Practical Nurse for the past 30 years. His early career involved a variety of acute care roles within the Nova Scotia Health Authority, including surgical, medical, orthopedic, and emergency nursing. Jason’s passion for nursing policy and practice was sparked by his involvement with nursing regulation as the board chair for both the College of Licensed Practical Nurses of Nova Scotia and the Nova Scotia College of Nursing, where he was a key partner in modernizing the Nova Scotia Nursing Act.

He also volunteers as a director with the Nursing Association of Nova Scotia to ensure all categories of nurses have a voice at every level of healthcare. Over the past five years, Jason’s main focus has been on learning and development, as well as strategic partnerships, which aligns with his current role as an Accreditation Advisor with the Canadian Nurses Association.
