Dr. Valerie Doyon

Dr. Valerie Doyon is a dermatology resident at the University of Montreal with clinical and research interests spanning general, procedural, and aesthetic dermatology. She completed her B.Sc. at the University of Ottawa and earned her M.D. from the University of British Columbia, where she served as class president. She is currently the co-chair of the Resident and Fellows Society of the Canadian Dermatology Association. Her research centers on procedural safety and innovation in aesthetics, with internationally recognized work on filler-induced blindness and adverse events in cosmetic injectables. She was named a Rising Derm Star by the Winter Clinical Conference and received the Annual Resident Award from the Canadian Laser and Aesthetic Specialist Society.

Dr. Doyon is currently involved in clinical trials evaluating energy-based devices and topical solutions aimed at addressing skin laxity from rapid weight loss, commonly referred to as “Ozempic face.” Her advocacy and publication on tanning content on TikTok contributed to the platform’s removal of pro-tanning videos, highlighting her commitment to public health. She also writes for Canadian Skin magazine and volunteers with the Mole Mobile screening program, which provides free skin cancer screenings in underserved communities. Dr. Doyon is passionate about making dermatologic care safe, evidence-based, and accessible, and is proud to practice in both English and French.
