Dr Metelitsa is a board-certified dermatologist in both Canada and the United States and is currently clinical associate professor at the University of Calgary and director of Beacon Dermatology. He pursued an additional year-long fellowship in lasers and cosmetic surgery at SkinCare Physicians under the direction of world-renowned faculty from Harvard and Yale. He has authored a dermatology book as well as more than 40 book chapters and articles. He is very active in clinical research and has conducted more than 100 clinical studies.

Dr Metelitsa is an international speaker and has taught thousands of physicians over the years. He was the lead physician in charge of Dysport launch in Canada in 2013. He frequently teaches on a comprehensive facial rejuvenation approach that incorporates understanding facial beauty, injection anatomy and the science behind injectable products. Dr Metelitsa has received more than 35 academic, research and leadership awards, including the University of Alberta Alumni Award of Excellence and the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons leadership award.
